Beth Bronder Joins Governing as Executive Publisher and Senior Advisor
Bronder has extensive government experience and a broad Washington, D.C. professional network.
Bronder previously served as senior vice president and publisher of Governing until 2009.
“We are excited to welcome Beth back,” said Governing President Cathilea Robinett. “Not only does Beth have a wealth of experience in Washington, D.C., she also knows firsthand the power of the Governing media brand.”
Bronder has spent her entire career working for premier media organizations within Washington, D.C., including Congressional Quarterly, Roll Call, The Economist and Bloomberg. Most recently, she served as senior vice president and publisher at CQ-Roll Call. Prior to that, Bronder spent two years with Bloomberg L.P. as the federal government market lead supporting the launch of the BGOV news and information service.
In total, Bronder spent 17 years at Congressional Quarterly, which formerly owned Governing. Bronder left CQ briefly between 2003-2005 to serve as director of state and local government marketing for Unisys Corp.
“The opportunity to get back to my roots in the state and local government market at a time of transition in Washington is very appealing,” said Bronder. “I’m pleased to be working with Governing and e.Republic, a media company with a deep portfolio of products and services. I’m looking forward to connecting with decision makers inside the beltway to raise awareness of the important policy work taking place in state and local government.”
Bronder will be working from Governing’s Washington, D.C. office. She will also focus on Governing’s Women in Government and Public Officials of the Year programs, as well as building relationships with foundations and associations within Washington, D.C.
