Government Technology and Emergency Management magazines honored with “Best Publication” awards
Awards recognize each publication’s design and editorial.
Sacramento, California – May 12, 2016 – Government Technology and Emergency Management magazines were both honored with Maggie Awards for Best Publication at the 65th Annual Maggie Awards ceremony May 6.
Emergency Management was recognized as the Best Publication in the semi-annuals, three-time and quarterlies/trade category for the Winter 2015 issue, which focused on preparing for the next pandemic, how a warming climate impacts public health and how robots are changing disaster response and recovery.
Government Technology was recognized as the Best Publication in the Non-Paid Trade (Circ. Over 50,000) category for the October/November 2015 issue, which focused on how to make smart city investments count and how startups are transforming the smart city movement.
The Maggie Awards are presented annually by the Western Publishing Association. Publishing professionals from 24 states gather at the Maggie Awards ceremony each year to honor excellence in print and electronic publishing in over 100 editorial, design, promotional and event categories.
Government Technology and Emergency Management magazines have both also been honored with multiple Maggie Awards in the past.
